Vehicle trembling is a problem encountered by many drivers, especially when the vehicle brakes, as soon as the brakes are pressed, the body will shake, although sometimes it does not affect the vehicle to slow down or stop, but it is somewhat worrying, after all, the vehicle brake is directly related to driving safety.

Under normal circumstances, the vehicle trembling when pressing the brakes is closely related to the brake system and chassis components, and the reasons can be found from the following aspects.

1. The brake is biased

The wheels on both sides of the vehicle are equipped with separate brakes, when the driver presses the brakes, the brake drums and brake pads at both ends should work at the same time, continuously, evenly, durably and stably output braking force to achieve the deceleration or stop of the vehicle.

In actual use, due to driving habits, driving environment, brake pad material and other reasons, the brake pads at both ends may appear to varying degrees of wear. At this time, when the brakes are pressed, although the brakes at both ends can respond at the same time, due to excessive wear of the brake pads on one side, the distribution of braking force will be uneven, which will cause the body to shake.

The same happens after the owner has replaced one side of the brake pads separately. When the owner finds that the brake pads on one side are overworn, the brake pads are replaced in time, but because the newly replaced brake pads are still different from the brake pads that have been used for a while on the other side, the degree of wear is still different, so it may also cause the body brake to start.

2. The brake is uneven

If the driver is accustomed to using the point brake for a long time to brake, it will also cause the phenomenon of bumps and convex on the inner wall of the brake pad and the brake drum. Then when braking, the brake pads stick to the uneven brake drum, output uneven braking force, and the body will also tremble.

3. The brake pads are too hard

At present, there are many brake pad brands on the market, and the quality is uneven, especially the brake pads produced by some little-known small factories, and the original axle is not matched enough, the hardness is too high, to a certain extent, the friction coefficient is too high, so that the brake pad and the brake drum will also shake when braking.

4. The brake drum is deformed and out of circle

In general, the service life of the brake drum is longer than that of the brake pad, but if it is used improperly, it will also shorten the service life of the brake drum.

For example, the commonly used water spray cooling of drum brakes, if the water sprinkler is often used in the case of red hot brake drums, it is easy to crack or texture the brake drum, and in the long run, the cracking situation continues to expand, eventually causing the body to shake.

Another example is that the brake drum bears bumps or impacts in a red-hot state, due to the high temperature, the brake drum material is easy to soften, at this time, the impact is very easy to cause the brake drum to deform and lose the circle, change its physical structure, resulting in the phenomenon of brake trembling.

It is worth noting that compared with the deformation and roundness of the brake drum, its cracking or grain often needs to be removed to see clearly, which requires the driver to regularly check the brake drum and remember to replace it in time when encountering problems.

5. Modify the brakes privately

"Brake King" is a well-known existence in the circle, many owners of mountain roads have basically used, its working principle is to increase the amount of air passing of the brake master cylinder or relay valve, and shorten the response time and enhance the braking force by increasing the air volume.

Many drivers modify the "brake king" to improve the braking reliability of the vehicle, but it is not difficult to find that the braking effect brought by the "brake king" is achieved by controlling the air volume, and the basic braking principle has not changed. Although the driver subjectively feels that the braking force is coming quickly, it destroys the coordination and balance of the original braking system, loses the linear growth of the braking force, and leads to insufficient downhill air pressure and extended braking distance for some vehicles with relatively slow inflation. In addition, blindly increasing the amount of air passing accelerates the abnormal wear of the brake, which can cause the brake to tremble, damage the parts, and cause the vehicle brake failure. These are all very dangerous things.

At the same time, privately modifying the brakes and increasing the amount of air passing of the relay valve may also lead to unbalanced air pressure of the brake sub-pumps on both sides, causing the braking force of the wheels on both sides to deviate, and the phenomenon of brake jitter will also occur.

In addition to the above reasons, such as steel ring deformation, loose bearings, brake drums and steel rim unevenness, tie rod ball head loose, tire pressure imbalance, tire misalignment / bulge / abnormal wear, etc., will also lead to the body trembling, the owner does not have to panic too much, but can not ignore it, if you can not repair yourself, you can go to a professional maintenance station, generally can be checked or improved.
