1, water cooling.

Water cooling is cheap, easy to install, and the cooling effect is also relatively obvious, so it has been rapidly popularized and promoted in the industry.
However, with the continuous development of vehicle technology, water cooling has gradually begun to "fall out of favour". The reasons for this are the following:
(1) the weight of the water drenching device is too large, often tons or even several tons, the impact on the amount of cargo loading is relatively large, increased transport costs, in addition to the use of a long time is also easy to lead to frame deformation.
(2) It is easy to cause icing on the road, especially in the north, when water falls on the road during the drenching process, the phenomenon of icing is likely to occur, affecting driving safety, and if icing occurs on downhill roads, it is even more dangerous.
(3) Disc brakes are gradually becoming popular on trailers, but water cooling devices are not suitable for disc brakes, resulting in vehicle owners having to choose other auxiliary devices.
2. Hydraulic retarder.
Compared to water cooling, liquid retarder is a safer device, not only with constant speed control, smooth braking without impact, and 90% of the braking is carried out through a wear-free state, which can effectively avoid brake overheating.
In addition, the liquid retardation is also smaller and lighter, which can also extend the service life of friction pads, tyres and other components, reduce the frequency of replacement and save overall vehicle costs.
In addition to being useful in mountain transport, it can also function as a pre-determined braking and slowing function at toll booths, traffic lights and in traffic jams, making it suitable for a wider range of applications.
However, the price of liquid mitigation is too high, often tens of thousands or even tens of thousands of yuan, for car owners is a considerable amount of money, so the popularity is a little less.
3、Engine assisted braking.
Engine braking is one of the simplest forms of braking, release the clutch and throttle, the transmission put on the forward gear, you can enter the engine braking mode.
However, engine braking has certain requirements for the owner's operation and technology, if the application is not skilled, it will also affect the auxiliary braking effect.
